SONA near the election

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of Nation Address also known as SONA, they said that her term as the President of the Philippines will be extended if there will be no election next year. In my own opinion, I would say that President Arroyo was afraid that she will end her term so that she makes her decision about the 2009 State of Nation Address.

My observation last year election, President Arroyo brought her idea about Charter Change which she wants to change the system of our government. And, today she ended her SONA, why President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo starts the 2009 State of Nation Address? Our President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of Nation Address was all about her plans, outstanding achievements, her programs and projects achievements, which obviously she want to remind us of what she had done in our country. It means that she want to extend as the President or she want to have a position in this government. I think that SONA is one of her political techniques so that she can run as an official of this country.

For now, our country is in the state of crisis, poverty and corruption. It is possible that SONA is the key so that these problems will be vanish? I think, it is maybe, the 2009 State of Nation Address might be false or true, we experienced so much in other politicians, they keep their promise and they keep it in their pocket.

About the BEAT THE ODDS program one of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of Nation Address mention. In Balance budget and Education for all, I would say that every budget of projects in the government the 50% to 70% of it will be pocketed by the officials and the remaining will be the budget for the project. In education, many of the public teachers didn’t receive their bonus salary. The effect of the corruption is poverty so that there are people wants justices but they cannot get it, and most of them joined the rebellion against the government.

The 2009 State of Nation Address mention also about the Opportunities livelihood and ten million jobs, I can say that every year our population increasing, also those fresh graduates, so how can this be ten million jobs will be offered if there is no budget for salary because of the main problem the corruption.

I hope that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of Nation Address will stop the corruption. Corruption of officials is the main reasons of all problems in our country, the poverty, not enough job and opportunity, revolution, misunderstanding, and so on.

The 2009 State of Nation Address has ended today; I hope tomorrow that our government will be change. I can say that, most of us people here in this country has no trust anymore of our President because of what she had done wrong. I hope that she had her word of keeping her SONA. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s State of Nation Address is something that scares us of what will be the future of our country, maybe it is good for our country or it makes our country worst. By keeping her words, we must trust her because she stills our president, and may God bless our Country and us.

  2. Nohh???? is that so??? Sorry if nag apil2x ko huh!!! Because i have also my own sight about that!!! PGMA's SONA really talks about her achievements on her presidency.... and i believe what she said on her SONA is true... Yes, there are a lot of issues thrown to her... But we should not judge her immediately especially if we just heared it everywhere.... Those issues might be just a rumor against her without even proofs.Inspite its the people's fault why it comes like this because people are the responsible on putting her the position as Phil. Pres. And if you heared her SONA, she said, "At the end of this speech I shall step down from this stage…but not from the Presidency. My term does not end until next year. Until then, I will fight for the ordinary Filipino. The nation comes first. There is much to do as head of state—to the very last day…."
Meaning she haven't any intention to extend her term after the last min. she have...

About what you also mention above that the country is now facing financial crisis... and seems that you're questioning if theres any help that SONA can do... and seems that you are blaming the president why we are having that problem now.... Well I can't blame you also why you believe on that... It just happen, when we had our Philippine Constitutionsubject last Tuesday when our proffessor asked us about our idea why Philippines is one of the poorest state in the world... corruption, oil, gov't officials are just some of our answers on that question...
You know what I learned from that meeting??? Our proffessor shared us about a forwarded email to her about that subject... Guess what, WE ourselves are the reason why we are poor.... Our ATTITUDE is the main reason why we are poor and not the corruption or any that we keepon blaming...

I hope na wla tka ka naoffend... nakabasa man gud ko imo fs comment ni Edgar then ni askka nya nga mgpacomment mao ni try ko... Xenxa huh...
Pero nakarealize jud ko nga tinood jud nga atong attitude ang cause sa ato pgkapoor...
Gi-add tka FS... Pls accept huh...
    God Bless!!!
    PEACE nta huh...
